Gilpin County Emergency Notification Changes

As of January 1, 2019, Gilpin County will begin using a new Emergency Notification system. Our understanding is that registrations with the old system will NOT transfer over, so ALL Gilpin County residents should create an account on the new Hyper-Reach system. Registering here will allow you to get notifications on your mobile phone and/or email in the event there is an emergency in the area near your home.

This is also a good reminder for all Coal Creek Canyon residents to ensure that you are registered for Emergency Notifications in your county of residence, and that all you mobile numbers and email addresses are current. Links to each county’s Emergency Notification system are available on our Community Resources page.

And finally, most residents in Coal Creek Canyon are near a county line. Of course emergency situations don’t respect county boundaries, and so it’s advisable and encouraged to also register with your nearby counties, even if you’re not a resident of that county.
