Colorado is experiencing multiple wildland fires, where thick smoke is drifting into Coal Creek Canyon (especially in the mornings and evenings.)
Smoke can irritate airways and exacerbate medical conditions, especially for people who have respiratory compromise.
Here are some links that provide information on protecting yourself and your family:
- CDC: Protect yourself from Wildland Fire Smoke

- CDC: Wildfire Smoke and COVID-19
Note: CDC state that “facial cloth coverings” (normal face mask for the general public) do NOT protect from wildland fire smoke.
